QuickBooks Desktop is planning to stop selling several products to U.S. new subscribers after July 31, 2024. Here are some top questions you may have regarding this change.
Q: What products will Intuit no longer be selling and what is the effective date?
Intuit has made a decision that after July 31, 2024, we will no longer sell new subscriptions of the following products:
- QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus
- QuickBooks Desktop Premier Plus
- QuickBooks Desktop Mac Plus
- QuickBooks Desktop Enhanced Payroll
Existing subscribers are not impacted by this change. Existing QuickBooks Desktop Plus and Desktop Payroll subscribers can continue to renew their subscriptions after July 31, 2024.* We will continue to provide security updates, product updates, and support for existing subscribers.
QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise products are also not impacted by this change, and customers can continue to purchase Enterprise subscriptions after July 31, 2024.

Yes, any customer who has purchased a QuickBooks Desktop Plus or Enhanced Payroll subscription prior to July 31, 2024, will be able to continue to renew after July 31, 2024.*

Accountants will be able to continue to serve their clients on the latest supported versions of QuickBooks Desktop.
As such, accountants can continue purchasing new subscriptions of QuickBooks Desktop Core Accountant Software (ProAdvisor Program Premier Plus, ProAdvisor Program Enterprise, and Standalone QuickBooks Desktop Accountant Edition) after the stop sell date of July 31, 2024, but these products will only be available for sale upon request in the Accountant Sales Channel, which can be reached at 844-437-2620.
